The 2014 Chateau de Pommard Clos Marey-Monge Monopole is a sophisticated Pinot Noir from the largest monopole in Burgundy. Produced by winemaker Emmanuel Sala, this red wine originates from an ecosystem with diverse clay and limestone soils protected by a historic stone wall. On the nose, it offers intense aromas of wild strawberry, violet, and red plum complemented by sweet spices like cinnamon and a touch of truffle. The palate is well-rounded and velvety, featuring bright red fruit, firm tannins, and a fresh acidity that provides excellent balance and a long finish.
