A very rainy first six months were followed by a record-breaking heatwave (80 days, from 20 June to 10 September), bringing vine growth to a sudden and early halt, which is often a sign of an exceptional vintage. The return of the rain in mid-September and a succession of hot days and cool nights brought the grapes to perfect ripeness. 2016 is a great vintage that is concentrated and intensely coloured. It boasts black fruit scents on the nose and a sensation on the palate that is well structured and mild at the same time. 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 45% Merlot, 5% Petit Verdot.
