2017, the year of the frost. On 27 April, a chill swept through the Bordeaux vineyards. Protected as they are by the mild waters of the nearby estuary, our vines came out of it relatively well, with some 10 of our 67 hectares being hit. Fortunately, the May sunshine brought rapid and even flowering of the vines. July, August and early September were hot and dry. These very good conditions allowed an early start to the harvests which took place between 12 and 29 September. The wines are nicely balanced with lots of colour and fruit flavour. A vintage brimming over with mild charm and elegance. 60% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon.
