This 2023 Grand Cru is a high-key heavyweight, sourced from a 0.93-hectare plot of 120-year-old vines planted in 1904 right below the Grands-Échezeaux slope. On the palate, it hits with major dark fruit energy—black cherry and mulberry—layered with violets, Provençal herbs, and an earthy, truffle-like depth. The structure is built to age, flexing a tight core, fresh acidity, and fine, grippy tannins from its time in oak. It is extremely austere in its youth and requires serious cellar time to fully glow up before reaching its optimal drinking window.
