Domaine de Vernus Régnié "Les Vergers" 2022 is a highly expressive and elegantly structured Cru Beaujolais crafted entirely from old-vine Gamay. Sourced from a unique, exceptional parcel of 67-year-old vines planted in the heart of an old orchard, this relatively new estate (founded in 2019) has quickly earned acclaim for its meticulous, terroir-driven approach. The wine is gently matured for ten months in Burgundian oak barrels, yielding a beautifully complex and ethereal profile. The nose opens with an inviting bouquet of bright red cherries, crushed wildflowers, and a subtle hint of white pepper. On the palate, it is medium-bodied and beautifully concentrated, balancing crisp, juicy red fruit and supple, ripe tannins with a distinct wet-stone minerality that drives a long, energetic, and remarkably refined finish.
