The 2022 Domaine Dugat-Py Bourgogne Cuvée Halinard is a regional-level Burgundy crafted entirely from Pinot Noir. Although classified under the broader Bourgogne AOC, the fruit is sourced exclusively from a 0.4-hectare plot of 25- to 75-year-old vines located strictly within the Gevrey-Chambertin village. Named in honor of an 11th-century abbot, the cuvée reflects winemaker Loïc Dugat's approach to producing terroir-driven wines suitable for earlier consumption, utilizing a specific proportion of whole clusters and a reduced new oak regimen. The resulting wine is characterized by a light and perfumed profile, presenting core notes of fresh dark and red fruits alongside subtle flinty minerality, earthy spices, and fine-grained tannins.
