The 2022 Domaine Dugat-Py Gevrey-Chambertin "Cuvée Coeur de Roy" Très Vieilles Vignes is a concentrated Burgundy Pinot Noir sourced from meticulously farmed vines ranging from 50 to over 100 years of age. The wine opens with an expressive bouquet of dark berries, wild red currants, baking chocolate, and sweet spices, complemented by subtle earthy and floral undertones. On the palate, it is deep and elegantly muscular, showcasing an intense core of fruit balanced by fine-grained tannins and a lingering, mineral-driven finish. Fermented with a significant proportion of whole clusters and aged in new oak casks, this tightly structured cuvée is built for the cellar and will benefit from a few years of bottle age to fully integrate.
