Grattamacco Bolgheri L'Alberrelo Superiore

Grattamacco Bolgheri L'Alberello Superiore is an organic, single-vineyard red wine from Tuscany, crafted primarily from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. This cuvée is named after the ancient "alberello" (head-pruned) vine-training system, which was introduced to the estate in 2004 to help the vines better withstand high temperatures and drought. The wine is characterized by an intense ruby red color and a complex aromatic profile featuring dark berries, Mediterranean scrub, balsamic notes of eucalyptus, and refined spices. On the palate, it is rich and full-bodied with elegant, fine-grained tannins and a fresh, savory finish, typically aging for 18 months in French oak barriques followed by 12 months in the bottle.
