The 2020 Les Pallieres Racines Gigondas is a luxuriously rich and intricately layered red wine produced from the oldest vines of the estate, some ranging from 70 to 100 years old. Grown on northwest facing hillside terraces in the Southern Rhone, this blend consists primarily of Grenache along with Syrah, Cinsault, and Clairette. The wine exhibits a deep, dark profile with aromas of ripe peach, blackcurrant, and wild Mediterranean herbs like garrigue, balanced by a distinct minerality and hints of licorice. It is known for its velvet texture, great depth, and harmony, offering a powerful yet elegant finish with supple tannins and fresh acidity. With high aging potential, this vinous and dense cuvee pairs excellently with red meat, venison, or lamb.
