The 2019 Les Pallieres Terrasse Du Diable Gigondas is a high altitude red wine from the Southern Rhone, composed of 90% Grenache, 5% Mourvedre, and 5% Clairette. It features an aromatic profile of wild strawberry, cherry, and black plum complemented by notes of violet, garrigue, black olive, and licorice. On the palate, the wine is medium to full bodied with intense chalky minerality and firm, fine grained tannins that provide a long, fresh finish. Produced by the Brunier family using traditional methods including aging in large oak foudres, this vintage is recognized for its structural depth and aging potential through 2030.
