The 2020 Loimer Dechant Pinot Noir Langenlois is a biodynamically grown red wine from the Kamptal region of Lower Austria, specifically from the loess-rich soils of the Dechant vineyard. Following spontaneous fermentation with 100% whole bunches and 18 months of aging in oak barrels, it presents a transparent ruby-garnet hue with a bouquet of cherry, wild strawberry, and blood orange accented by notes of smoke, forest floor, and clove. The palate is elegant and light-footed, featuring a juicy acid structure, fine-grained tannins, and a mineral, salty finish that reflects its cool-climate origin and Burgundian character. With an alcohol content of 13%, this vegan-certified wine offers excellent aging potential through 2035 and pairs well with roasted vegetables, poultry, or mushroom-based dishes.
