Mortlach x Starck L'Evolution Collection is a groundbreaking collaboration between the historic Speyside distillery—affectionately known as "The Beast of Dufftown"—and visionary designer Philippe Starck, celebrating the whisky's journey through three distinct spirits all bottled at a robust 55.4% ABV. The trilogy features Begin, a rare glimpse into the distillery's sweet and umami-rich new-make barley spirit; Become, an untamed expression matured in virgin oak, red wine, and refill casks that delivers a thunderous punch of fruit and spice; and Beyond, a rich, velvet-smooth malt marrying exceptional casks from across five decades. True to Starck’s avant-garde aesthetic, the classic Mortlach bottles are housed within striking, 3D-printed protective cages modeled after the gyri of the human brain, utilizing tactile materials like aluminum and pink copper to physically manifest the "subconscious" and unique character of each remarkable liquid.
