The Undurraga Vigno Old Vines Dry-Farmed from Chile's Maule Valley is a bold and structured red blend, typically composed of around 90% Carignan and a small portion of Cinsault. Sourced from head-trained, ungrafted vines over 70 years old in the La Soledad Vineyard, this wine is part of the VIGNO project dedicated to preserving old-vine Carignan through traditional dry-farming techniques. It features a deep ruby or garnet color and an aromatic profile of black fruits, cherries, and floral tones, often accented by notes of earth, spice, and subtle oak. On the palate, the wine is known for its vibrant acidity and firm, fine-grained tannins, offering a modern and fresh style that balances intensity with elegance. With an alcohol content of approximately 14.5%, it pairs exceptionally well with grilled lamb, Mediterranean dishes, or hearty stews.
