Utopos Shiraz

Produced by Kym Teusner from a single vineyard on Roennfeldt Road in the Barossa Valley, Utopos Shiraz is a rich and intense red wine celebrated for its pitch perfect balance of acidity and tannins. Sourced from vines grown in sandy red loam and black cracking clay soils, the wine undergoes traditional techniques including cold soaking and aging for 18 months in French oak barrels. The aromatic profile typically features deep notes of blackberry, dark plum, and licorice with savory hints of mocha, iron, and spice. On the palate, it is full-bodied and concentrated yet remains nimble and bright, offering a velvety texture with fine-grained tannins and a long, persistent finish. While highly approachable in its youth, this Shiraz is structured for longevity and can reward cellaring for 10 to 15 years.
